About the position

The Senior Electronic Document Technician at Kadiak, LLC is responsible for leading and managing the operations of the Electronic Document Room (EDR). This role focuses on ensuring efficient management, processing, and preservation of electronic documents and records while maintaining data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to oversee a team, implement best practices, and collaborate with IT teams to maintain document management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Electronic Document Room (EDR).
  • Develop, implement, and enforce policies, procedures, and standards for electronic document handling.
  • Supervise and provide leadership to a team of Electronic Document Technicians.
  • Conduct training programs and workshops on document management best practices.
  • Maintain and manage databases, electronic files, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure proper functioning of document management systems.
  • Implement and maintain data backup and disaster recovery protocols.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of document management processes.
  • Provide technical guidance and support on document management-related issues.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies and best practices in electronic document management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Management, or a related field.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the Computer Science or Information Management field.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience in a document management environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of document management systems and related software applications.
  • Strong understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
  • Expertise in records management principles and document lifecycle management.
  • Proficiency in database management and reporting techniques.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in a government or regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with workflow automation tools.
  • Knowledge of data migration strategies.
  • Understanding of information governance principles.
  • Experience in developing training programs related to document management.
