About the position

The Senior Email Marketing Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of our email marketing strategy to drive increased brand awareness and customer acquisition. You will build impactful customer campaigns, crafting lifecycle marketing flows for prospective B2B customers while regularly reporting on campaign success metrics. Leading through teamwork, you should be as comfortable taking input from the team as you are providing analysis and feedback to advise the collective team strategy. You are data-informed with the ability to move seamlessly between strategic to tactical. This is a hybrid position and requires a minimum of three days/week in our Boston (Back Bay) office.

Responsibilities

  • Build our email marketing channel and lifecycle programs targeted at prospects, new users, and existing customers
  • Develop and lead email marketing strategies with the goals of growing customer engagement, conversions, lifetime value (LTV) and dedication
  • Grow the email subscriber list size while improving overall list health
  • Oversee email production and tactical execution
  • Partner with analytics, sales, and marketing teams to build out customer segmentation, cohort analysis, and develop LTV insights and actions
  • Drive continuous improvement across email critical metrics including deliverability, open rates, click-to-open rates, conversion rates, opt-out rates, and revenue
  • Continual optimization of segmentation and email content personalization strategies based on user behavior/intent, activity data, industry, and demographics
  • Design layout of marketing and sales emails, ensuring emails are optimized, and are user- and mobile-friendly
  • Establish and optimize a testing agenda for A/B and multivariate testing frameworks for email design, layout, and subject lines
  • Ensure compliance with email marketing laws and regulations

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related work experience in digital marketing in a business-to-business environment, driving lead generation through email marketing efforts
  • Outstanding writer and communicator with experience owning email and other customer-facing copy
  • Experience with ESP, CRM, and marketing automation tools; Seismic, Pardot, Salesforce, and Litmus preferred
  • Strong command of CRM standard methodologies: segmentation strategy, list hygiene, end to end campaign setup and management, automation optimizations, testing strategy, and template creation
  • Ability to draw insights and optimize messaging across audiences
  • Proficient working in HTML, CSS, or with drag and drop template builders to develop adaptable, high impact emails is a plus
  • Tenacious project management skills: ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional internal teams, prioritize high-impact activities, and keep intricate projects moving forward
  • Knowledge of standard methodologies in email design and A/B testing
