About the position

This role is part of the Employee Relations team at lululemon, focusing on providing consulting services related to complex employee matters, including performance issues, terminations, and accommodations. The position involves conducting workplace investigations and collaborating with legal and diversity teams to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with legal standards. It is an individual contributor role that requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple demands effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead investigations and support with Employee Relations consultation.
  • Engage with legal partners and the IDEA team on complex Employee Relations matters.
  • Determine what requires investigation vs. consultation and identify necessary cross-functional partners.
  • Review and make recommendations regarding investigation strategy and outcomes needed for action and resolution.
  • Provide consultation and risk assessment for complex performance improvement plans, separations, and accommodations.
  • Support updates to Investigation Practices based on legal requirements and industry standards.
  • Identify and foster relationships with key leaders and partners in P+C, IDEA, and the business.
  • Remain informed on global employee relations trends and internal policy updates.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience with a focus on Employee Relations.
  • 3+ years experience in leading complex Workplace Investigations.
  • A post-secondary diploma, degree, or certificate in human resource management or equivalent work experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience providing consultation on sensitive ER matters.
  • Knowledge of employment/labour standards and human rights legislation and industry trends.
  • Certificate/training in Workplace Investigations.
  • Certificate/training in Conflict Resolution.
  • Certificate/training in Project Management.
  • Strong communication skills both written & verbal.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and abilities, detail-oriented and committed to a high degree of accuracy.
  • Capable of effectively managing multiple demands from a variety of sources.
  • Builds relationships quickly; must be an effective team player.
  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English & Spanish.
  • Wicklander-Zulawski certification or coursework towards certification.
