About the position

The Senior Application Integration Engineer is responsible for the installation and maintenance of integration technologies for global systems. This role focuses on partnering with application teams to understand their requirements and implement robust systems solutions to meet those needs within a hybrid cloud landscape. The engineer will manage and support all aspects of enterprise-wide integration platforms, which includes configuration, installation, security, solutions design and implementation, monitoring, and disaster recovery. This ensures internal system stability and consumer system availability and throughput. A typical day involves being accountable for enterprise integration services management, control, and implementation. This includes technical design, configuration, patch management, deployment, and problem resolution for integration platform tooling and applications. The engineer will develop and champion tools, technologies, and approaches that cultivate diverse and unique ideas, driving quality and speed to market. Establishing and maintaining consistent procedures, metrics, solutioning, and development approaches in accordance with VF guidelines is also a key responsibility. When necessary, the engineer will analyze changes required by shifts in business requirements, processes, or technical needs, develop options to incorporate these changes, and facilitate appropriate decisions. Ensuring consistent definition and compliance with security and audit requirements is critical to the role.

Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain integration technologies for global systems.
  • Partner with application teams to understand requirements and implement solutions in a hybrid cloud landscape.
  • Manage and support enterprise-wide integration platforms including configuration, installation, security, and monitoring.
  • Develop tools and technologies to drive quality and speed to market.
  • Establish and maintain consistent procedures and metrics in accordance with VF guidelines.
  • Analyze changes necessary to solutions triggered by business or technical requirements and develop options for incorporation.
  • Ensure compliance with security and audit requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in application integration technology engineering.
  • Experience with Administration/Installation of IBM MQ and MFT.
  • Experience with Administration/Installation of IBM ESB products WMB, IIB, ACE (preferred).
  • Experience with Native Security on Intel AD, AIX/Linux, and Iseries Operating Systems.
  • Experience with MQ Security and interface with platform security.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Ksh, Bash, and Powershell.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Global software management and deployment experience.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Understanding of Local/WAN Networks and Firewalls.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of Tivoli ITCAM is beneficial.
  • Experience working with technical architects, engineers, and application developers.
