Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to guide initiatives and provide strategic vision, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Oversee the development of new products and enhancements to existing ones.
  • Design and evaluate mechanical parts and assemblies to ensure manufacturability, accuracy, and aesthetics.
  • Conduct failure analysis, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee and develop engineering documents, maintain compliance with Design Control procedures, and update Risk Management and FMEA documents.
  • Provide guidance and training to entry-level engineers and support cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Design and refine manufacturing techniques to enhance product quality and reduce costs.
  • Lead research on polymer equipment, process development, and alternative materials.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders on project status and ongoing initiatives.

Requirements

  • More than 10 years of industry experience in product design, process improvements, or project management.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including injection molding, die-casting, or sheet metal bending.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive solutions through creative thinking.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Experience with quality assurance processes, including failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and reliability testing.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
