About the position

The Senior Data Visualization Engineer at The Hershey Company is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data visualization and analytical solutions. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure that data solutions meet business needs while adhering to best practices and governance standards. The engineer will act as a trusted advisor, delivering impactful data solutions that drive decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high-quality data visualization, reporting, and analytical solutions adhering to best practices and governance principles.
• Enhance existing data visualization solutions for improved performance and functionality.
• Collaborate with IT and business partners to define and deliver innovative Data Visualization solutions.
• Evangelize future Data Visualization solutions identified by Enterprise Data leadership.
• Lead the creation of intuitive data semantic models, visualizations, and dashboards for business stakeholders.
• Integrate data from disparate sources, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
• Develop complex analytical solutions while maintaining output performance.
• Establish and enforce data quality standards and governance policies.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data issues, ensuring high data accuracy and reliability.
• Implement data modeling and schema design to support analytical and reporting needs.
• Mentor and guide junior members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Lead technical projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field; Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
• 3+ years of experience with Alteryx or similar data wrangling tools.
• 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining reporting ecosystems.
• 3+ years of experience building analytical models.
• 3+ years of experience with DAX, Tabular Editor, ALM Toolkit, and Power BI Deployment Pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of relational, dimensional, and semantic data modeling.
• Expertise in data visualization, dashboard design, and reporting.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
