About the position

The Senior Engineer, DevOps position at Shield AI focuses on deploying, integrating, packaging, and developing components of the company's AI factory for autonomy teams and customers. This role involves working within isolated and specialized environments to support the integration of autonomy and AI tooling, ensuring proper validation and deployment, and collaborating with engineering and test teams to meet project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work with a small team of engineers and administrators.
• Integrate autonomy, AI factory, and tooling into new and existing cloud or air-gapped, on-prem environments.
• Support CI/CD between various isolated environments.
• Manage JFrog/Artifactory storing of multiple language and generic artifacts.
• Ensure proper validation and deployment of autonomy, AI factory, and tooling.
• Coordinate with engineering and test teams to build and meet requirements.
• Solve challenging and important problems.

Requirements

• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 4 years and a Master's degree; or 2 years with a PhD; or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years demonstrated experience with the Atlassian suite, GitLab, ADO, or similar DevOps environment.
• Experience supporting C++ or Python-based applications.
• Solid understanding of Linux/Unix-based systems.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, similar degree, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others.
• Experience debugging/troubleshooting deployed, distributed problems.
• Must be available to support onsite in Crystal City and surrounding NOVA area.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice-to-haves
