About the position

The position at HDT Global involves a comprehensive range of responsibilities centered around electronics design and engineering. The successful candidate will engage in sensor interfacing, working with various components such as potentiometers, encoders, temperature sensors, current sensors, accelerometers, and Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs). The role requires proficiency in communication buses including CAN bus, RS232/RS422/RS485, Ethernet (including GigE), and Bluetooth, which are essential for effective data transmission in electronic systems. In addition to sensor interfacing, the role encompasses the design and implementation of analog circuits, including operational amplifiers, comparators, and filters. The candidate will also work with digital logic components such as logic gates and flip-flops, as well as CPUs including Microcontrollers (MCUs), Digital Signal Processors (DSPs), ARM processors, System on Chips (SoCs), and System on Modules (SOMs). Power electronics is another critical aspect of the job, involving the design and management of AC/DC and DC/DC power supplies, brushless motor control using MOSFETs and drivers, and battery systems. The position also requires drafting assembly drawings for cables and wiring harnesses, circuit design, simulation, and prototyping, with a preference for experience using Altium. Responsibilities include schematic capture, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Bill of Materials (BOM) management, and PCB fabrication data generation. The candidate will interface with board and assembly houses and will be responsible for testing and debugging electronic systems. Experience in creating technical documentation in a regulated environment is desired, along with familiarity with instrumentation and tools necessary for debugging, testing, and integrating embedded systems, such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
