About the position

The Senior Engineer - Frames Design at GE Aerospace is responsible for the mechanical design, manufacture, and delivery of hardware for the development testing of next-generation narrow body jet engines. This role involves collaboration on complex engine structures, providing technical guidance, and ensuring proper documentation of technical data. The position is part of the Compression Systems and Structures team and contributes to advancing aviation technologies for a sustainable future.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with minimal supervision on the design and analysis of complex engine structures, applying sound engineering principles and following business standards, practices, procedures, and program requirements.
  • Share technical guidance and act as a subject matter expert to support others working on complex tasks; coach others in the organization.
  • Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned hardware.
  • Create action plans, with support, to address issues/problems.
  • Provide strategy to fulfill the technical and program requirements.
  • Contribute as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews with internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • At least 5 additional years of experience in a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering position.
  • Experience with design and analysis of complex mechanical components.
