About the position

As a Senior Engineer in HiL Verification at Volvo Group, you will play a crucial role in the Vehicle Dynamics team, contributing to the transformation of the transport industry through innovative testing and validation of vehicle dynamics electrical control units. This position involves both manual and automated testing, development of test plans, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the reliability and performance of next-generation technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Manual and automated testing of vehicle dynamics electrical control (ECU) units.
  • Interact with dSPACE Hardware-In-Loop simulator using ControlDesk and AutomationDesk.
  • Develop test plans, test cases, and automation test scripts.
  • Interface with HIL maintenance team over hardware troubleshooting and plant model updates.
  • Prepare test reports and review status with software team and other stakeholders.
  • Initiate and participate in meetings related to software validation.
  • Participate in the realization and commissioning of new HIL simulator or upgrades of existing ones.
  • Play an active role in the global verification community.
  • Understand existing and future requirements on test equipment and needed methods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 5-8+ years of experience within Automotive ECU verification.
  • Experience in HIL verification.
  • Prior test automation using Python.
  • MATLAB Simulink HIL model development.
  • Experience with CANalyzer/CANOE tools.
  • Experience using version control tools.
  • Knowledge of Software Release Management.
  • Knowledge of vehicle network architecture, communication & diagnostic protocols (CAN, J1939, LIN, Ethernet).
  • Experience in ECU Test Tools.
  • Agile development and continuous integration awareness.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in related Engineering field.
  • HiL experience specifically using dSPACE.
  • Experience in Jenkins.
  • Knowledge in Vehicle Dynamics.
