About the position
As a Senior Mobile Developer at Axon, you will play a crucial role in the development of next-generation mobile applications, specifically Axon View and Axon Capture, which are essential for digital evidence management. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and maintaining features that ensure high performance and data privacy standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver quality products.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain features within Axon View, Axon Capture, and related shared libraries.
- Collaborate within the Scrum team to meet sprint goals and ensure the delivery of the right product.
- Conduct code and design reviews to maintain a high technical standard.
- Investigate optimal solutions to challenging problems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing Android applications.
- Strong knowledge of Android platform frameworks and technologies (Networking, Bluetooth, WiFi, Photo, Video).
- Proven ability to drive engineering efforts to completion, including planning, estimating, and communicating effectively.
- Experience with MVVM, Android architecture components, Kotlin coroutines, and unit testing.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- Mastery of Java and strong competency in Kotlin.
- Experience with modern architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI, etc.) and unit testing.
- Excellent communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Jetpack Compose, Room, Camera X, ExoPlayer, and Android 13.
- Experience with CI/CD processes and automation.
- Hybrid native/web app development experience.
