About the position

As a Senior Engineer II at lululemon, you will serve as a technical leader within the Digital Site Reliability Engineering - DevOps team, focusing on delivering reliable and secure software solutions. Your role will involve collaborating with product development teams, promoting platform improvements, and ensuring production readiness. You will also participate in continuous planning processes, provide on-call support, and contribute to the engineering community by sharing knowledge and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical leader for services delivered to product development teams.
• Contribute to all areas of development and operations from pre-production to production.
• Plan and discover tools and practices within your area of expertise.
• Promote platform-level improvements in collaboration with other engineering leaders.
• Drive continuous improvement in production readiness and performance.
• Participate in on-call support functions as needed.
• Recommend projects and tasks that enhance developer experience, efficiency, and reliability.
• Measure and report on the effectiveness of the team's efforts.
• Facilitate the scrum process and workflow for the team.
• Own reliability for a defined set of production systems.

Requirements

• Completed Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Software Architecture, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of engineering experience.
• 5+ years experience with CI/CD tools, preferably GitLab.
• Deep experience with AWS.
• Advanced understanding of web technologies (HTTP, SSL, Headers, Cookies, TCP, Caching).
• Knowledge of CI/CD principles and best practices.
• Ability to teach and coach other engineers.
• Experience developing solutions for retail or eCommerce businesses.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Terraform, Splunk, DataDog, Kubernetes, CloudFormation, Cloudwatch, and Docker.
• Ability to learn and work quickly with new emerging technologies.
