About the position

The Senior Engineer, Network Manufacturing role at Johnson & Johnson involves executing engineering deliverables for large-scale manufacturing capacity projects within the DePuy Synthes Network Tech Ops team. This position focuses on enhancing global manufacturing capacity for orthopedic products, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards, and facilitating knowledge transfer to manufacturing site staff. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to implement best practices and achieve project goals related to capacity, cost, and timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of robust and fully developed and qualified orthopaedic implant manufacturing processes to Network Edge projects.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with QMS procedures and controls, maintaining product quality and performance standards.
  • Collaborate with functional stakeholders to implement technical, validation, and regulatory strategies efficiently and compliantly.
  • Partner with Regulatory to execute necessary strategies for filings, inspections, and registrations across multiple sites and countries.
  • Communicate with internal and external partners to coordinate and execute project plans.
  • Provide technical leadership and support for EHS&S policies and procedures execution.
  • Support technical collaboration across functions.
  • Lead effective communication processes and stakeholder management within project scope, ensuring documentation of project activities.

Requirements

  • Experienced knowledge of medical device manufacturing and validation.
  • Minimum two years (preferred 4 years) of relevant professional work experience in medtech or similar regulated industry.
  • Statistical and problem-solving engineering expertise (Six Sigma, SE or A3).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Track record of innovation and adaptability in project execution, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proven competence to evaluate, communicate, and act upon significant risks, demonstrating leadership in quality and compliance standards.
  • Strong influencing skills and excellent interpersonal skills (written and oral).
  • Required to make decisions on technical and management issues.
