About the position

The Senior Engineer for New Plants Engineering at Westinghouse Electric Co. will play a crucial role in supporting the International AP1000 Project Engineering department. This hybrid position involves engaging in various nuclear power plant design topics, contributing to new plant opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project milestones. The role emphasizes nuclear safety culture, effective communication, and the development of flexible project plans to meet technical, commercial, and schedule needs.

Responsibilities

• Support various aspects of future bid and proposal efforts in European countries.
• Lead cross-functional engineering teams for bid and proposal efforts.
• Drive results with accountability while managing multiple tasks.
• Develop solution paths for technical, commercial, and financial issues.
• Establish effective working relationships across organizational boundaries and with customers.
• Create flexible project plans, including schedules and budgets for New Build AP1000 support.
• Lead team meetings and ensure deliverables are executed as planned.
• Drive technical and commercial decisions as needed.
• Leverage Westinghouse expertise across different functional disciplines and locations.
• Optimize spending to manage budgets for assigned projects.
• Interface with construction partners, customers, and regulators.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years applicable engineering experience required.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Digital Design and Configuration Management Experience is a plus.
