About the position

As a Senior Engineer in Product Applications at Analog Devices, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in the development of device firmware, focusing on security protocols and countermeasures. Your expertise will assist the design team in developing and qualifying hardware security Intellectual Property (IP) Blocks, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of security and functionality. You will be responsible for developing and executing pre-silicon functional verification tests, as well as conducting Silicon and Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) Road Tests to validate product performance and reliability. In this role, you will also engage in new product definitions, evaluating products and IP blocks for potential security vulnerabilities. Leading product and IP Block certification efforts will be a key responsibility, ensuring that all products comply with industry standards and regulations. Additionally, you will develop various software applications, including mobile and cloud apps, as well as Graphical User Interfaces (GUI), contributing to the overall user experience and functionality of our products. Your work will also involve generating mechanical drawings for various proof-of-concept products, showcasing your ability to bridge the gap between engineering and practical application. With a partial telecommute benefit allowing for two days of work from home, this position offers flexibility while maintaining a strong focus on innovation and product development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop device firmware, including security protocols and countermeasures.
  • Assist the design team in developing and qualifying hardware security Intellectual Property (IP) Blocks.
  • Develop and run pre-silicon functional verification tests.
  • Develop and execute Silicon and Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) Road Tests.
  • Work on new product definitions and evaluate products and IP blocks for security vulnerabilities.
  • Lead product and IP Block certification efforts.
  • Develop various software, including mobile and cloud apps and Graphical User Interfaces (GUI).
  • Generate mechanical drawings for various proof-of-concept products.

Requirements

  • Must have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or foreign education equivalent) and 36 months of experience as a Product Engineer or related role supporting electronic device firmware development and product innovation.
  • Demonstrated Experience evaluating simulation, FPGA, and Silicon Road-Testing using tools such as Perl, SystemVerilog, Python, SimVision, and XCelium.
  • Experience performing Side-Channel Attack (SCA) analysis and vulnerability mitigation using Cadence simulation tools and target detection with high-bandwidth oscilloscopes.
  • Experience developing Read-Only Memory (ROM) Firmware for modern cryptography products, secure authenticators, microcontrollers, and data loggers in compliance with NIST guidelines, by utilizing tools such as Assembly, C programming and FreeRTOS on Arm and RISC-V platforms.
  • Experience performing cross-platform app development and maintenance using applications such as Flutter, Dart, Swift, Kotlin, and C for iOS, Android, and Windows.
  • Experience conducting engineering simulation and design analysis using MATLAB, COMSOL, Ansys, and Autodesk.
