As a Senior Engineer specializing in Salesforce Marketing Cloud at Waste Management, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, coding, testing, and debugging new software solutions while enhancing existing software. This position requires minimal supervision and involves conducting complex business process analyses and needs assessments. You will participate in design sessions with Architects to ensure that information technology solutions align with business initiatives. The role demands undertaking complex projects that require specialized technical knowledge in software design and testing. As the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Lead Developer, you will lead and contribute to development projects, showcasing exceptional collaboration and communication skills. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, testing, documenting, and deploying high-quality business solutions on the Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) platform, adhering to industry best practices and business needs. You will have expertise in implementing various components of Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, and Data Extensions, as well as proficiency in AMP scripting, SQL, and contact management. Additionally, you will oversee and lead design and coding sessions, develop solutions, and implement them effectively. The role also requires experience with various marketing technology tools, such as digital asset managers and analytics platforms, to develop solutions that optimize the existing technology ecosystem. You will provide insights on establishing a robust technology stack to enhance marketing performance and have experience with SFMC integration patterns, including API sends, triggered sends, and data extracts. Your integration experience should encompass both web-based technologies (SOAP, REST) and middleware tools like MuleSoft and Webmethods. Furthermore, you will work with data pipelining feeds into Marketing Cloud through ETL and batch jobs, securing buy-in from internal stakeholders when necessary. Mentoring and fostering the growth of peers and team members will also be part of your responsibilities.
