About the position

The Senior Engineer - Structural/Civil position at Westinghouse Electric Company involves supporting design activities in structural steel and reinforced concrete design. This hybrid position typically requires 2-3 days of on-site work at the Westinghouse Global Headquarters in Cranberry Township, PA.

Responsibilities

• Support design activities in structural steel and/or reinforced concrete design.
• Prepare drawing markups to support change packages.
• Author and review calculations performed with analysis software or via hand calculations.
• Address technical issues related to fabrication, assembly, and construction phases of civil/structural projects.
• Provide on-site support at utilities and/or construction sites when required.
• Develop and mentor team members in structural design and use of FEA tools.
• Apply understanding of applicable industry civil/structural codes and standards (such as ACI, AISC, AWS).
• Develop engineering sketches and markups using AutoCAD or similar CAD programs.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience required.
• Bachelor Degree or higher in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license required.
• Prior industry experience is a plus.

Nice-to-haves
