About the position

The Senior Engineer position at Thornton Tomasetti involves applying engineering and scientific principles to design structural solutions for a variety of projects, including cultural buildings, office buildings, and healthcare facilities. The role requires collaboration with architects and other engineering disciplines, managing project design, and ensuring deliverables meet client requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in small to mid-size projects and a strong understanding of structural engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design work with in-house staff and other design professionals including architects and engineers.
• Communicate with clients to understand project requirements.
• Plan and formulate engineering programs and organize project staff according to project requirements.
• Perform analysis and design of structural systems for various types of buildings and materials using building codes.
• Manage project design and deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture; Master's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience working on Structural Engineering projects.
• Working knowledge of current industry software, including SAP2000, ETABS, Ram, Risa3-D, PCA Software, Revit, and AutoCAD.
