Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. (SIA) is seeking a motivated civil/structural Senior Engineer to join our Critical Infrastructures team in our San Diego, CA, San Jose, CA, or Denver, CO office. The Senior Engineer will provide structural engineering consulting services on advanced analysis and design projects under the supervision of senior management. This role involves managing medium-sized projects and providing support to other project managers and engineers. Typical assignments will include 3-D modeling and engineering design and analysis of various industrial building and non-building structures, as well as nonstructural components. SIA operates across a variety of industries, including the design and maintenance of civil infrastructure, nuclear power, healthcare, dams and waterways, defense, pressure vessels and piping, and mechanical and electrical components. In this position, the Senior Engineer will perform structural engineering analysis and design of steel and concrete structures, conduct stress analysis of piping and components, and ensure seismic qualification of mechanical equipment. This will be achieved through hand calculations or the use of finite element analysis software. The Senior Engineer will also be responsible for preparing technical reports and calculation documents, executing complex structural engineering tasks, and planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating projects of moderate scope with limited oversight. Additionally, the role includes delegating tasks to other engineers, reviewing calculations and analyses from other engineers, and providing oversight and acting as a resource for engineering staff working on managed projects. Building positive client relationships and representing the company at project meetings are also key aspects of this role, along with implementing SIA's policies on safety and quality control.
