About the position

As a Senior Engineer in System Engineering at Qualcomm, you will be responsible for researching, designing, developing, optimizing, and validating systems-level software and machine learning solutions. This role focuses on enabling the development of cutting-edge technology in the AI/ML field, collaborating across functional teams to meet system-level requirements and standards. You will have the opportunity to innovate and develop leading-edge products around Qualcomm's high-performance AI inference accelerators for various applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI/ML solutions that integrate Qualcomm AI hardware products and technologies to provide optimal AI inference performance.
• Research, design, develop, simulate, and validate systems-level software, AI hardware, architecture, and machine learning solutions.
• Support customer engagement with AI model optimization and deployment.
• Perform ML model benchmarking and functional analysis to drive requirements and specifications.
• Collaborate with teams to implement and test features, ensuring system accuracy and performance.
• Stay updated with advancements in AI/ML and drive innovative solutions.
• Develop new ideas for product or feature areas and drive problem triage at the system level.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of Systems Engineering experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ year, or a PhD in a related field.
• 2+ years of experience with Python and C/C++.
• 2+ years of experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• 2+ years of experience in ML development, deployment, and applications.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's or PhD Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Physics.
• 4+ years of Systems Engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience with Machine Learning systems based on CV, NLP, and LLM architectures.
• Experience with MLOps for GenAI applications.
• Problem-solving experience with a customer focus.
• 1+ year of experience interacting with senior leadership.
