About the position

The Senior UX Researcher at Toyota will play a crucial role in enhancing user experience by translating research insights into actionable strategies. This position involves collaborating with design and engineering teams to achieve mobility targets and develop future product roadmaps, focusing on cockpit and cabin electronics and interior systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute UX programs to generate insights related to cockpit and cabin electronics and interior systems.
• Conduct and lead research into North American customer needs and market trends, including competitor benchmarking and attending industry events.
• Conduct and lead qualitative and quantitative studies, analyze data, and report findings.
• Establish UX research standards that clarify the purpose, requirements, and targets.
• Communicate and negotiate with TMNA stakeholders in R&D, Sales, and Quality to drive alignment on UX requirements and customer needs.
• Support the development of business cases for change and product development through timely research.
• Manage project schedules, key milestones, and report status and risks to executive management regularly.
• Share and communicate ideas with other Toyota stakeholders to gain agreements on direction.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of industry experience in User Experience Research.
• 3 years of experience and demonstrated understanding of Toyota's vehicle development process.
• Understanding of Toyota electronic platform development experience including front-end UI development for in-vehicle displays.
• Familiarity with current Toyota UX frameworks and UX research methods.
• Strong presentation skills to communicate detailed data simply to TMNA executives and TMC.
