About the position

The Senior Engineering Manager will lead the software team responsible for the end-to-end experiences and capabilities of Hudl's camera product family, focusing on autonomous cameras that utilize edge AI. This role involves shaping the division-level strategy, developing leadership within the team, collaborating across disciplines, driving technical excellence, and championing Agile practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead division-level strategy and shape the vision for the division.
• Develop leadership capabilities and promote best practices within the team.
• Collaborate with leaders from various disciplines to enhance the product suite.
• Guide teams in the development of robust, scalable solutions on the cloud.
• Participate actively in high-level planning and Scrum ceremonies.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in cloud technology and building highly scalable software solutions.
• Proven track record in setting technical strategy and guiding teams towards successful project outcomes.
• Experience in leading engineers and managers, with skills in career coaching and performance management.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas clearly and work effectively with stakeholders.
• Champion of DEIAB, creating an inclusive workplace.

Nice-to-haves

• Professional background in relevant technologies such as C#, React, React-Native, Rust, C++, MongoDB, and AWS.
• Familiarity with adjacent languages, frameworks, and services used at scale.
• Experience in product partnership and collaboration with Product Managers.
