About the position

As a Senior Engineering Manager in Network & Security at Deloitte Technology US (DT - US), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our network and security solutions. You will be responsible for the planning, deployment, and optimization of new network and security solutions, acting as a product manager or product owner for enterprise-wide technologies. Your expertise will guide the translation of business objectives into cohesive recommendations and solutions, ensuring that our network and security frameworks are robust and effective. In this role, you will oversee the planning and building of new network and security solutions, establishing technical standards and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. You will lead the transition of new technologies from architecture to engineering, developing necessary documentation and processes while managing the training of junior engineers. As a change agent, you will work closely with architecture and operations teams to enhance current technologies and drive improvements. Your responsibilities will include directing and controlling design, analysis, planning, and implementation activities, as well as reviewing and prioritizing network needs. You will lead the deployment of new solutions across the enterprise, overseeing procurement processes and documentation updates. Additionally, you will evaluate network and firewall performance criteria, assess capacity needs for various technologies, and lead architectural design evaluations. Your role will also involve troubleshooting, providing subject matter expert support, and ensuring the configuration and maintenance of critical network components. Responsibilities

  • Directs and controls activities of design, analysis, planning, and implementation. Reviews and prioritizes network needs.
  • Leads the deployment across the entire enterprise of new solutions including overseeing the purchases and updates processes and documentations.
  • Oversees the development and evaluation of network and firewalls performance criteria and measurement methods.
  • Directs the evaluation and analysis of the short-term or long-term capacity needs for switching, routing, WiFi, firewalls, and SASE (security access service edge).
  • Leads the evaluation of Network and Security architecture design, in addition to feasibility and cost studies.
  • Oversees the development of alternative scenarios and changes in required sequence of network activities.
  • Leads economic and population growth studies to determine impact on capacity and development plan projections.
  • Performs troubleshooting procedures and designs resolution scripts. Provides subject matter expert support and resolution.
  • Oversees the configuration and maintenance of firewalls, SASE, routers, switches, and WiFi. Monitors performance and health, ensures capacity planning is performed, and assesses and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration.
  • Minimum 10 years related experience in security and network environments performing planning and engineering (hardware and software) and optimization.
  • Minimum 2 years with previous people leadership or project management experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • SASE, SD-WAN, Security, Network engineering certifications.
  • Engineering skills in four or more of the following domains: Software Defined WAN (SD-WAN), Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Automation, Programming/Scripting languages (Python, Ansible, etc.) & Orchestration, Cisco ISE, network access control, and Network segmentation, AI, AIOps.
  • Experience in multi-vendor equipment including Cisco and Palo Alto and related OS configurations.
  • Engineering Palo Alto Firewalls, SASE, SD-WAN and Global Protect VPN solution.
  • Engineering Cisco routing, switching and WiFi.
