Senior Engnieer Control Electronics

About the position

Danfoss Drives is looking for an Engineer/Senior Engineer - Control Electronics to join our diverse team at their Oragadam/Chennai Campus, India. The position involves designing, selecting, specifying, and validating critical components such as MCUs, FPGA, DSP, and Communication ICs. The role also includes analyzing failures seen on the product, finding root causes, and implementing improvements. The candidate will participate in idea generation for cost reduction possibilities and support testing personnel during product testing. Familiarity with product life cycle change management processes and documentation is essential. The engineer will provide technical clarification of designs with suppliers and manufacturing, work with a multi-disciplinary engineering development team, and assist in solving critical customer cases.

Responsibilities

• Design, selection, specification, and validation of critical components (e.g. MCUs, FPGA, DSP, Communication ICs, etc.)
• Analyze failures seen on the product and find root cause and implement improvements.
• Participate in idea generation on cost down possibilities.
• Support Testing Personnel during the Product testing.
• Familiarity with Product Life cycle change management process and documentation.
• Provide technical clarification of designs with suppliers and manufacturing.
• Work with a multi-disciplinary engineering development team that includes application engineering, controls engineering control hardware design, and test/validation.
• Work with supply chain teams and qualify components and assemblies during implementations and resolve issues as needed to maintain product and project quality, cost, and deliverables.
• Assist in solving critical customer cases.

Requirements

• B.E (EEE/ECE) and ME/M.Tech on Embedded Systems/Applied Electronics
• Experience of 4 to 7 years on working knowledge on Control electronics devices (MCUs, FPGAs, DSP, Communication ICs etc.)
• Experience in memories like Flash, SRAM, SDRAM and DDR.
• Experience in Signal Integrity.
• Experience in various communication media and protocols like wired, wireless, RS-485, RS-232, RS-422, Profibus/MODBUS/Ethernet IP/EtherCAT etc.
• Experience with analog electronics such as ADC, operational amplifiers, Comparators, multipliers, signal conditioning, filters etc.
• Experience in designing low voltage power supply LDO/Buck/Flyback etc.
