About the position

The Senior Enrollment Services Specialist/ESL & HSE Advisor at Colorado Mountain College is a full-time role responsible for providing comprehensive support to students, particularly those in English as a Second Language (ESL) programs. This position combines enrollment services and academic advising, focusing on student recruitment, registration, and retention. The specialist will work closely with faculty and administration to ensure a seamless experience for students, while also managing front office operations and providing customer service to the campus community.

Responsibilities

• Staff the front office and provide personalized assistance to walk-in visitors.
• Assist with student recruitment and enrollment processes.
• Guide students through registration and financial aid procedures.
• Maintain accurate student records and perform data analysis.
• Coordinate new student orientations and campus events.
• Provide academic advising to ESL students to enhance their success and retention.
• Collaborate with faculty and administration to support student services.
• Evaluate and process admissions applications and assist with tuition classification questions.
• Conduct outreach to local ESL and HSE students to connect them with college resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and two years related work experience; or an Associate's Degree and three years related work experience; or a High School Diploma/GED and four years related work experience.
• Previous admissions and recruitment experience preferred.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to positively engage students in an academic setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with software such as Access, Publisher, and Photoshop.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) or conversational language abilities.
• Experience in data collection and analysis of student performance.
