Responsibilities

  • Perform task and project management responsibilities for civil/environmental engineering projects.
  • Manage accuracy, scope, budgets, contracting, quality control, safety, reporting, schedule, and client expectations.
  • Act as a technical resource for environmental remediation and engineering projects.
  • Lead multidiscipline engineering design teams for civil/environmental related projects.
  • Design and operate remediation systems, including in-situ remedies and waste management.
  • Engage in client and business development activities.
  • Assist with and lead proposal and cost estimating efforts for projects.
  • Interface with various agencies, clients, and team members.
  • Mentor junior level environmental staff and assist with their development and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or related engineering program from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 7 years of related professional experience, preferably 10 years.
  • PE License (Minnesota and/or Wisconsin preferred).
  • Experience with coal combustion residual (CCR) related projects for power generation clients.
  • Experience with project management and environmental regulation coordination.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively to various audiences.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of civil and environmental engineering methods and permitting processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet vehicle driving standards.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience investigating emerging contaminants, including PFAS.
  • Experience directing and reviewing work products prepared by junior engineering staff.
