About the position

The Senior Environmental Geologist at ENERCON will be responsible for conducting environmental fieldwork and managing Phase II investigations. This role involves leading field crews, developing scopes of work, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations while providing solutions that meet client objectives. The position requires a strong background in geology or environmental science, along with extensive experience in environmental consulting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform environmental fieldwork, including soil and groundwater investigations.
  • Conduct and/or manage Phase II investigations, including developing scopes of work and cost estimates.
  • Manage subcontractors and perform all phases of subsurface soil and groundwater investigations.
  • Complete geologic and geophysical studies and manage waste.
  • Formulate independent conclusions regarding environmental conditions and develop technical reports in accordance with regulations.
  • Communicate with and manage work from clients, regulators, and third-party groups.
  • Handle internal administration and training within ENERCON.
  • Maintain confidentiality related to property and client-sensitive information.

Requirements

  • Oklahoma Corporation Commission Licensed Remediation Consultant.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Geology or Environmental Science.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental consulting.
  • General subject matter expert on Oklahoma Corporation Commission Petroleum Storage Tank Division and Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks concurrently with varying scopes of work and time constraints.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills including knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and scientific evaluation skills.
  • Understanding of field and laboratory analytical analysis and results.
  • Valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Current 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification is preferred.
  • Professional Geoscientist (P.G.) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) license desired.
