About the position

GHD is seeking a Technical Director/Senior Project Manager to join their Midwest Contaminated Assessment Remediation (CAR) Group. This role involves leading complex environmental investigations and remediation projects, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and maintaining high client satisfaction. The position offers a hybrid work environment and requires a self-motivated professional with strong technical skills and existing relationships in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex problem solving related to environmental investigations and remediations, providing high-quality results and solutions to clients' challenges.
  • Maintain a high external profile through membership and attendance in industry organizations, while growing a contact base.
  • Maintain a high internal profile through CAR project pursuits, wins, and delivery.
  • Lead proposal development and contract negotiation to win targeted pursuits, leveraging GHD's capabilities and value proposition.
  • Provide technical project management and direction, ensuring client satisfaction and project delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's and/or Advanced degree in Applied Science (Engineering, Geology, or Science).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in contaminated site investigation and remediation.
  • Solid understanding of U.S. EPA regulations and State environmental regulations for various Midwestern states.
  • Experience with preparing regulatory work plans and reports for investigation, remediation, and closure.
  • Proven experience managing and delivering on multiple projects with a deep understanding of industry standards.
  • Ability to oversee and review work carried out by other environmental professionals and provide constructive feedback.
  • Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills.
