About the position

The Senior Epic Administration role at OpTech involves formulating and designing the Epic systems security framework to meet user needs while ensuring compliance with organizational goals. The position requires a strong analytical background to evaluate options for efficient business processes and solutions, acting as a bridge between technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in one or more applications' capabilities and features for users, owners, and administrators.
  • Stay updated on new Epic security functionalities across applications.
  • Coordinate security-related activities across physical, infrastructure, and application teams.
  • Make access decisions in collaboration with application coordinators/analysts.
  • Establish ownership and change delegation guidelines.
  • Limit system access to authorized personnel.
  • Secure remote access to systems.
  • Ensure regular changes of system passwords.
  • Establish user passwords at the operating system level as needed.
  • Create security classifications with suitable menus within Epic software.
  • Develop procedures for new users to receive login authorization, passwords, and training on system security.
  • Establish procedures for inactivating users who no longer require access.
  • Create test scenarios and develop test plans for business applications to verify client requirements are met.
  • Participate in technical reviews and inspections to ensure project changes are implemented correctly.
  • Provide support and escalation response to production issues, performing root cause analysis and application resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Significant experience in Epic systems administration and security management.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate business processes and solutions.
  • Ability to mediate between technical and business stakeholders.
