About the position
The Senior Estimator position focuses on managing and developing cost estimates for diverse ground-up commercial construction projects. This role is essential for ensuring project feasibility and financial accuracy, contributing to the company's reputation for integrity and quality in service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Review and understand all documents and assess project risks
- Understand project logistics and project schedule
- Manage and develop cost estimates of 'at risk' projects including all material, labor, equipment, and general condition costs necessary to deliver a complete project
- Actively perform pre-construction duties and participate in meetings with clients, owners, and engineers
- Maintain a historical database of costs
Requirements
- 10+ years' experience estimating commercial construction projects
- 5+ years estimating all divisions of large scale commercial ground-up projects in excess of $10M
- Well versed in all estimating principles including reviewing conceptual estimates
- Ability to communicate collaboratively; team player and balanced in approach
- Advanced computer skills with estimating software, Timberline preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Strong communication skills
