Senior ETL Developer - Hybrid/Onsite

About the position

The position involves performing data analysis, collecting business requirements, and identifying business rules. The candidate will analyze, develop, and support Data Integration, Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), and Data Management using various platforms and tools such as Data Stage, Teradata, SQL, Autosys, and Oracle. Collaboration with the data modeling team to define data integration logic is essential. The role includes building and testing new ETL programs to fulfill service requests, automating ETL processes and pipelines using scripting and Autosys, and participating in unit testing while assisting the QA team in integration testing and supporting the business team for User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Additionally, the candidate will participate in code deployment and coordinate with different infrastructure teams during go-live, post-production, and continued support of the end product. Participation in technology governance groups that define policies, best practices, and make design decisions in ongoing projects is also required. The role involves working closely with Database Administrators (DBAs) to fix performance bottlenecks and requires recent experience and clear responsibilities in an ETL/Extracts/Data Engineering lead developer capacity.

Responsibilities

• Perform data analysis, collect business requirements, and identify business rules.
• Analyze, develop, and support Data Integration, EDW, and Data Management using Data Stage, Teradata, SQL, Autosys, Oracle, etc.
• Collaborate with the data modeling team to define data integration logic.
• Build and test new ETL programs to fulfill service requests.
• Automate ETL processes and pipelines using scripting and Autosys.
• Participate in Unit Testing, assist QA team in Integration Testing, and support Business team for UAT.
• Participate in code deployment and coordinate with different infrastructure teams during go-live and post-production.
• Participate in technology governance groups that define policies and best practices.
• Work closely with DBAs to fix performance bottlenecks.

Requirements

• 8 plus years of experience in data integration (ETL) with 5 or more in solution development using DataStage suite.
• 5 or more years of experience in RDBMS/Data Warehousing platforms, preferably Teradata.
• Expert in Linux and Python scripting to introduce automation as part of solution delivery.
• Strong SQL knowledge and ability to write complex queries.
• Conceptual understanding of logical and physical data models is a must; working experience is a plus.
• Ability to develop and maintain data integration/ETL specifications that state integration rules and mappings.
• Certifications in ETL and Data Warehouse platforms.
• Domain experience in Healthcare.
• Experience in data profiling and implementation of automated solutions for data quality checks.
