About the position

This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Sales department within the hotel, focusing on compliance with policies and procedures, staff performance monitoring, and client coordination for events and functions. The role requires flexibility in scheduling to meet the operational needs of the business, including working weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with daily operational procedures by the Sales department.
  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with all hotel policies and procedures.
  • Monitor staff performance and rectify deficiencies in service and job functions.
  • Meet with group coordinators/hosts prior to functions to ensure arrangements are agreeable.
  • Coordinate requests for changes to scheduled arrangements according to departmental standards.
  • Familiarize with hotel services and local attractions to accurately respond to guest inquiries.
  • Promote a cooperative working climate to maximize productivity and employee morale.
  • Meet with clients to discuss details of their functions and escort them through the property.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations and policies.
  • Experience in customer service and event coordination.
  • Ability to monitor and evaluate staff performance effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
