About the position

The Senior Event Manager at Enmarket Arena is responsible for overseeing all aspects of event management, from planning through execution. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing event staff, and ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate logistics of events at Enmarket Arena and Johnny Mercer Theatre.
  • Support the VP of Events and Operations in executing events.
  • Communicate event requirements to building staff in a timely manner.
  • Prepare event estimates using the annual budget as a guide.
  • Select, train, motivate, and evaluate Front of House and Back of House staff in collaboration with third-party groups.
  • Coordinate event seating layouts with the ticket office.
  • Work with tour production managers to coordinate show requirements.
  • Prepare data sheets for building personnel prior to events.
  • Present event previews/reviews in weekly staff meetings.
  • Develop and control event budgets, including pre-show estimates and post-show settlements.
  • Deliver event information to the finance department for invoicing.
  • Troubleshoot event setups and make decisions regarding policies and staffing.
  • Oversee production, setup, and event-related contract services.
  • Schedule event staff, security, police, fire, and EMS through third parties and review performance.
  • Facilitate event load-ins and load-outs, often early mornings or late evenings.
  • Communicate promptly with the VP of Events and Operations.
  • Respond to tenant and public inquiries or refer them to the VP of Events and Operations.
  • Prepare event reports noting attendance and significant issues.
  • Interact courteously and professionally with facility staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Technical degree from an accredited college/university/school required.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years' experience in facility events and operations management.
  • Experience in the public assembly industry in a supervisory or management position.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of budget preparation and control.
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office software.
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD preferred.
  • Understanding of crowd management, fire and public safety regulations, and food service practices.
  • Production experience with concert setups, audio, video, lighting, and rigging preferred.
  • Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to function and make decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
