About the position

The Senior Event Manager at Hilton Denver City Center is responsible for leading the planning and execution of various events, ensuring exceptional service and memorable experiences for guests. This role involves coordinating with sales, hotel departments, and clients throughout all phases of event management, particularly focusing on complex events. The position also emphasizes maximizing revenue through upselling and enhancements, while maintaining high-quality service and client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of a variety of events.
  • Ensure seamless turnover from sales to service and back to sales.
  • Organize, plan, and prioritize duties by developing plans and goals.
  • Communicate timely with internal and external clients via various channels.
  • Create and maintain relationships with clients to meet their expectations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, and booking processes.
  • Resolve conflicts and negotiate with clients and team members.
  • Sell and influence both internal and external clients.
  • Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing issues and determining solutions.
  • Ensure high-quality service by understanding guest needs and providing guidance.
  • Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process.

Requirements

  • Experience in event management or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Knowledge of event planning systems and processes.
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Sales and upselling experience.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
