About the position

LIMRA and LOMA are seeking a Senior Event Planner who will be responsible for producing events from start to finish, ensuring exceptional service and memorable experiences. This role involves working closely with key internal stakeholders to oversee all event logistics, design, and production. The Senior Event Planner will manage up to 10 conferences and events annually, which may include in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats. The ideal candidate will have experience collaborating with digital strategy teams to deliver high-quality virtual events and will be skilled in liaising with clients to identify their needs and ensure customer satisfaction. In this position, the Senior Event Planner will develop and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. They will also ensure that all events comply with legal, health, and safety regulations. The role requires selecting and negotiating with vendors to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness, making strong negotiation skills essential. The Senior Event Planner will be expected to demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Business, or Communications.
  • 3-5 years of event planning experience.
  • CMP designation required.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel for conferences and work on weekends as needed.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with association conferences.
