The Little Rock Marriott is seeking a Senior Event Planning Manager to join our dynamic team in the heart of downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. The Senior Event Planning Manager will coordinate all aspects of events, from initial planning to execution, acting as a liaison between the customer and hotel sales personnel. This position requires a creative and detail-oriented individual who can manage the logistics of group room blocks, food and beverage services, public meeting spaces, and billing processes. In this role, you will be available to customers during events to solve problems and suggest alternatives to previous arrangements, ensuring that every detail is attended to. You will directly serve group and catering customers in a proactive manner, demonstrating strong leadership skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of events from initial planning to execution.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and hotel sales personnel.
  • Provide direction and supervision during the execution of meeting and banquet functions.
  • Be available to customers during events to solve problems and suggest alternatives.
  • Directly serve group and catering customers in a proactive manner.
  • Manage logistics of group room blocks, food and beverage, public meeting space, and billing processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 2+ years of hotel sales experience.
  • 3 years of food and beverage experience.
  • Strong understanding of negotiation and interpretation of contracts.
  • Developed business communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to direct and motivate the event planning department to meet and exceed goals.
  • Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office.
  • Present a professional appearance and confidence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other team members.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience with major Hospitality Sales CRM systems.
