The Signia by Hilton San Jose is seeking a Senior Event Services Manager to join their dynamic team. As the Senior Event Services Manager, you will be responsible for the documentation and coordination of events, working closely with the Sales team, hotel departments, and clients to deliver exceptional service throughout all phases of the event process. This role primarily focuses on complex events, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to service and back to sales. You will identify opportunities to maximize revenue through upselling and enhancements, serving as the primary contact for event planners post-sale. Your responsibilities will include organizing and prioritizing tasks, maintaining timely communication with clients, building strong relationships to meet and exceed client expectations, and demonstrating a thorough understanding of job systems and booking processes. You will also be tasked with resolving conflicts, making informed decisions, and ensuring high-quality service by guiding and coaching team members. Participation in customer site inspections and assisting with the sales process will also be part of your role.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in event management or related field.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Knowledge of event planning systems and processes.
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Sales and upselling experience.
