The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in event management, particularly with large groups and events. The Senior Event Services Manager will be responsible for coordinating event documentation and liaising with various hotel departments and clients to guarantee a high level of service throughout all phases of the event. This position primarily focuses on complex events, requiring a keen ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain a positive, energetic attitude. In this role, you will be the primary contact for event planners after the turnover from sales, ensuring that client expectations are met and exceeded. You will also identify opportunities to maximize revenue through upselling and enhancements, contributing to the overall success of the events hosted at the hotel. The Senior Event Services Manager will need to demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients and internal teams. Additionally, the role involves resolving conflicts, negotiating with clients, and making informed decisions to ensure the highest quality of service. The Signia by Hilton San Jose is located in a prime area, directly connected to the San Jose McEnery Convention Center and within walking distance of various attractions. Responsibilities

  • Organize, plan, and prioritize duties by developing plans and goals.
  • Communicate timely with internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents, or in person.
  • Create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet expectations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, booking systems, and processes.
  • Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints and grievances.
  • Sell and influence both internal and external clients.
  • Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing issues and determining the best solution.
  • Ensure high-quality service by assisting others to understand guest needs and providing guidance and feedback.
  • Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary.

Requirements
