About the position

The Senior Experience Designer at Electronic Arts is responsible for establishing visual design principles and standards to create engaging game feature experiences. This role emphasizes user experience, product consistency, and design excellence, ensuring that the designs exceed player expectations. The designer will collaborate with UX and game design teams to develop new features and create interactive prototypes, while also guiding meetings with design and product leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Establish visual design principles, processes, and standards for game features.
  • Advocate for user experience, product consistency, and design excellence.
  • Apply UI design skills in positioning, grids, color theory, and typography.
  • Utilize interaction/motion design skills to create engaging experiences.
  • Create pixel-accurate screen mocks based on feature requirements.
  • Develop interactive/motion design prototypes.
  • Collaborate with UX and game design teams to develop new features from concept to completion.
  • Work with technical teams to ensure design solutions are practical to build.
  • Guide meetings with design and product leadership to track progress and establish next steps.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in a Visual Design/Interaction Design role.
  • Capabilities in Visual and Interaction Design for Console and PC.
  • A portfolio showcasing relevant work with excellent craft execution.
  • Proficiency with Figma and the Adobe Suite.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human-Computer Interaction, UX/UI/Design, or a related area.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with 3D software packages.
  • Experience working in a game engine.
