About the position

The Senior Facilities Engineer - Controls Engineer will manage and oversee all Control System operations within the Global Operations Group at Lam Research. This role is crucial for ensuring that modifications and contractor installations meet quality standards, particularly in relation to fire systems and infrastructure projects. The engineer will be responsible for developing control systems, networking designs, and troubleshooting existing systems, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of Lam's global business operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and own all Control System operations.
• Ensure modifications and contractor installations meet quality standards.
• Coordinate with fire system vendors and Lam Engineering for project delivery.
• Develop controls and networking design.
• Create hardware assembly and wiring diagrams for SCADA systems.
• Develop control system software in PLC ladder logic, function block, structured text, and HMI programming.
• Perform continued ownership and troubleshooting of SCADA and PLC systems.
• Select and implement a wide range of instrumentation for various processes.
• Configure and troubleshoot networking devices and industrial protocols.

Requirements

• Minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 12 years with a Master's degree; or a PhD with 8 years of experience; or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA/NEC, NETA, and ISA requirements for semiconductor facilities.
• Experience as lead engineer for hardware engineering, including systems integration and instrumentation specification.
• Proficient in designing process flow diagrams, P&IDs, single line diagrams, and control data sheets.
• Experience with AFD/VFD selection, programming, wiring, and interfacing.
