About the position

The Senior Facility Manager for DOT Shuttle Operations is responsible for overseeing the daily management of shuttle operations, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, and delivering satisfactory services that align with both client and company goals. This role involves supervising staff, managing operational processes, and maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day activities of all managers, supervisors, and shuttle bus drivers.
  • Administer vacation requests by managers and attendants, ensuring qualified relief labor is available.
  • Ensure all locations within the portfolio open and close at specified times.
  • Oversee the prompt completion of daily paperwork for all locations.
  • Supervise safe handling of cash and timely deposits for all locations.
  • Establish proper revenue trails for all transactions, including ticket control and maintenance of triplicate receipts.
  • Refer unresolved problems and complaints to the Senior Manager.
  • Evaluate and develop plans to increase bottom line profit for clients.
  • Function as a liaison between the management team and executive staff.
  • Establish and update operating manuals for all accounts within the portfolio.
  • Supervise training of all employees and ensure compliance with union rules and company policies.
  • Conduct regular visits to all locations to ensure compliance with operating procedures and safety regulations.
  • Identify operational problems and make recommendations to Senior and Regional Manager.
  • Review maintenance programs and work with Facility Manager for improvements.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations during off-duty hours.
  • Maintain effective relationships with field employees, customers, and corporate staff.
  • Review and evaluate priorities for non-routine assignments.
  • Demand and review disciplinary actions for procedural violations or theft.
  • Complete special projects such as painting and repairs, including bidding and evaluating contractors.
  • Interview and screen candidates for positions within the portfolio.
  • Fill in for Senior Manager when unavailable.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years transportation experience with multiple location supervision preferred.
  • Minimum High School diploma.
  • Valid CDL Class A, B, or C Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement as required by DOT regulations.
  • DOT Medical Card required.
  • Availability to work special shifts, including 2nd, 3rd shifts, and weekends as needed.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and prior exposure to personal computers (Excel, Word, AS/400, and Outlook).
  • Detail-oriented and extremely well organized.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
