About the position

The Senior Facility Manager position at Cushman & Wakefield entails managerial oversight of multiple facilities, an entire campus, or a portfolio of client facilities. This role is critical in ensuring that all facilities are well-managed and well-maintained, with a strong emphasis on leading a staff that responds positively to the concerns and needs of tenants. The Senior Facility Manager acts as the primary liaison with clients, coordinating services and activities, managing financials, vendors, and manpower to meet the current and future needs of the buildings and operations. This position is responsible for the overall financial and KPI performance of the business plan within the respective portfolio, ensuring that all services are delivered effectively and efficiently. In this role, the Senior Facility Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring that custodial, life-safety, engineering, and general maintenance services are provided in accordance with company policies and ownership directives. The manager will also be responsible for managing service contracts, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring compliance with statutory and contractual commitments. Additionally, the Senior Facility Manager will lead the facility management team in maintaining the interior and exterior conditions of the facilities, ensuring a positive and prompt response to requests from clients and tenants. The position requires the preparation and delivery of consolidated reporting on budgets, financial reports, contracts, and expenditures related to the facilities. The Senior Facility Manager will also assist in developing capital budgets and contribute to long-term maintenance and improvement plans. This role involves analyzing statistical data to assess facility management objectives and identifying service gaps, as well as managing the hiring, training, and performance evaluation of facility management staff. The Senior Facility Manager will drive customer focus and innovation, ensuring compliance with insurance requirements and managing vendor relationships effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of facilities, ensuring effective delivery of services and meeting facility needs.
  • Manage service contracts cost-effectively, conducting performance and financial reviews, and ensuring compliance with contract pricing.
  • Lead the facility management team in supervising maintenance programs for the facilities.
  • Ensure facility management staff provides positive and prompt responses to client and tenant requests.
  • Implement ongoing contract review programs to assess client and tenant needs and resolve issues promptly.
  • Prepare and deliver consolidated reporting on budgets, financial reports, contracts, and expenditures.
  • Develop and explain the annual facility budget and quarterly forecasts.
  • Assist in developing capital budgets and contribute to long-term maintenance and improvement plans.
  • Coordinate collection, analysis, and reporting of statistical data related to facility management objectives.
  • Approve hiring, training, and performance evaluations of facility management staff.
  • Drive customer focus and maintain effective relationships with key client contacts.
  • Drive innovation through best practices and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Corporate Real Estate, Project Management, or Business Administration required.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of facility management experience, with at least 3 years at the level of Facility Manager.
  • Experience in leasing, construction, engineering, and all facets of property operation and building management.
  • Experience with human resource and performance management processes.
  • Experience with critical system environments preferred.
  • CMMS/Work Order Management experience preferred.
