About the position

The Senior Facility Manager is responsible for the managerial oversight of multiple facilities, an entire campus, or a portfolio of client facilities. This role includes leading a team, ensuring effective service delivery, managing financial performance, and acting as the primary liaison with clients. The position emphasizes the importance of tenant satisfaction, environmental health and safety, and adherence to policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of facilities ensuring effective service delivery and facility needs are met.
  • Manage service contracts cost-effectively, including performance reviews and audits.
  • Lead the facility management team in supervising maintenance programs for facilities.
  • Ensure positive and prompt responses to requests from clients and tenants.
  • Implement ongoing contract review programs to assess client and tenant needs.
  • Prepare and deliver consolidated reporting and reviews of budgets and financial reports.
  • Develop and explain the annual facility budget and quarterly forecasts.
  • Assist in the development of capital budgets and maintenance plans.
  • Coordinate collection and analysis of statistical data for facility management objectives.
  • Approve hiring, training, and performance evaluations of facility management staff.
  • Drive customer focus and maintain effective relationships with key client contacts.
  • Drive innovation through best practices and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance requirements for tenants and vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Corporate Real Estate, Project Management, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of facility management experience, with at least 3 years as a Facility Manager.
  • Experience in leasing, construction, engineering, and property operation.
  • Experience with human resource and performance management processes.
  • Experience with critical system environments preferred.
  • CMMS/Work Order Management experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in project management.
  • Knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with financial management and budgeting processes.
