About the position

The Senior Facility Project Manager at Dexterra is responsible for the overall management and direction of multiple facility projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients. This role involves overseeing project performance, managing project teams, and maintaining relationships with subcontractors and clients. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to navigate complex project requirements and contractual obligations.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all phases of the projects from design, estimating, manufacturing, construction and installation
  • Developing and monitoring the project schedule and budget, reporting any deviations and providing solutions to get back on track
  • Managing construction budgets, analyzing, negotiating and approving requisitions, change orders, and other invoices associated with the project
  • Establishing construction plans and engineering methods
  • Identifying project risks, problems, and issues early and ensuring mitigating actions are in place
  • Handling all change orders, including negotiating, processing, and assessing cost and schedule impacts
  • Ensuring project profitability
  • Understanding and enforcing contractual responsibilities and resolving disputes
  • Coordinating and ensuring compliance with Quality Control/Quality Assurance requirements and building codes
  • Hiring, managing, mentoring, and coaching project team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or preferably Master's degree in project management, construction management, architecture, engineering, or related disciplines
  • A minimum of 7 years' project management experience managing a facility of at least 876 sq ft
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Proven experience managing medium to large projects
  • Knowledge of contract law and contract management
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and scheduling software (MS Project and/or Primavera)
