About the position

The Senior Field Clinical Engineer is responsible for supporting the execution and management of clinical trials at designated centers, while also promoting company products and providing clinical coverage within a specified region. This role involves a combination of clinical trial management, customer education, and technical support, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and addressing customer needs effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Train on and maintain knowledge of clinical trial protocols and compliance with regulations.
  • Manage clinical trial activities within the assigned territory, including Interest Visits and Site Initiation Visits.
  • Educate clinical investigators on clinical trial protocols and investigational products.
  • Educate customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of commercially approved products through presentations and demonstrations.
  • Develop relationships with hospital personnel to identify key decision makers for future sales.
  • Respond to customer needs and complaints regarding products and services by developing creative solutions.
  • Meet with existing and potential customers and clinical investigators to identify their clinical needs and research interests.
  • Provide technical support for clinical trials and commercial processes, including implants and follow-up.
  • Follow company guidelines for managing commercial and investigational product inventory used in clinical trials.
  • Travel to accommodate clinical trial and commercial implant coverage, being on call 24/7.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with pacemakers, ICDs, and CRTDs.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working closely with customers in the specified region.
  • Minimum of 3 years of device interrogation, interpretation, and programming experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience communicating with internal and external partners.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge and interest in EP ablation procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the clinical trial process.
