About the position

The Sales Manager role at Constellation Brands is focused on driving growth in a designated area by collaborating with distributor partners and achieving sales and distribution objectives. This position involves strategic planning, execution of sales programs, and maintaining strong relationships with retailers while ensuring fiscal responsibility and effective management of the depletion P&L.

Responsibilities

  • Develop assigned distributor business plans and conduct periodic team reviews.
  • Provide market intelligence and recommendations for effective planning and programming.
  • Execute new product launches and line extensions to align with company objectives.
  • Develop and maintain various sales tracking reports and performance measures.
  • Strengthen retailer relationships through continuous engagement and strategic thinking.
  • Cultivate strong collaborative relationships with internal teams and distributor sales members.
  • Prepare and maintain financial records, budgets, and forecasts for the assigned area.
  • Conduct post-promotional analysis and report weekly progress checks of distributor performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 5 years of related wine industry experience required.
  • Understanding of the three-tier distribution system in the Alcohol & Beverage industry.
  • Experience managing supplier/distributor business across an entire state.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Access, and OneNote.
  • Proficient in category management software and analytical techniques.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the Alcohol & Beverage industry is highly preferred.
  • Retail experience is a plus.
