About the position

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work of medium to high complexity as per work instructions and ABB guidelines. Each day, you will deliver excellent customer service to satisfy customers. You will also showcase your expertise by working with customers to identify opportunities in the installed base, to improve system performance and operational performance. The work model for the role is onsite/hybrid/remote, contributing to the Electrification Smart Power division. Main stakeholders include various teams within ABB and customers. You will be mainly accountable for contributing to customer satisfaction by planning and executing service work as per customer order and expectations. Ensuring customer retention by delivering superior customer experience and effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations is crucial. Additionally, you will take actions to identify new service business opportunities for ABB, in close cooperation with customers and other ABB teams. Coaching technicians and engineers and supervising complex site activities will also be part of your responsibilities. You will join a dynamic team, where you will be able to thrive.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or similar with 5+ years of experience, or an Associate's Degree with 7+ years of experience in servicing critical power equipment.
  • Broad experience in Field Service or a related role, with a focus on Critical Power Systems (Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Power Distribution, Static Switch, Battery, and Power Conditioning Systems).
  • OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 training preferred.
  • NFPA 70E Electrical Safety Training preferred.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., NETA, NICET, CompTIA, ABB, APC, Eaton, Schneider Electric, etc.) preferred.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
