About the position

The Sr. Field Service Rotator is responsible for performing maintenance functions on gas compression packages, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and installing both gas-fired and electric-driven compressor packages. The role aims to develop proficiency in advanced maintenance and new equipment installation with limited supervision, while ensuring outstanding customer service and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the company professionally while providing outstanding customer service.
  • Submit accurate field service reports, expense reports, timesheets, and other necessary paperwork daily.
  • Direct, coordinate, and perform job activities consistent with project goals and objectives.
  • Provide leadership and training to new and junior level Field Technicians.
  • Independently diagnose engine/compressor failures accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide input to Supervisor on personnel and materials needs for optimal job planning.
  • Lead and complete accurate and timely rebuilds/overhauls of compressors, engines, and controls in the field.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of electrical systems, controls, and unit control panels.
  • Complete advanced engine tuning functions to adjust engine performance and emissions.
  • Respond to and repair recurring problems and emergency services independently.
  • Lead installation of new units including commissioning and start-up inspections accurately.
  • Perform mechanical inspections using diagnostic equipment and specialty tools independently.
  • Participate in a call-out rotation and make emergency repairs as needed.
  • Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental rules and policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and advanced vocational/technical training.
  • 10+ years applicable experience in the field.
  • Proof of certification from CAT/Waukesha (or equivalent) in various technical areas including CAT Gas I, CAT Gas II, and others.
