About the position

The Senior Finance Account Analyst at Medpace plays a crucial role in the Account Management department, partnering with clients and internal staff to develop financial budgets and business proposals. This position requires strong financial acumen and the ability to communicate effectively with clients to ensure their needs are met while aligning with Medpace's objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Development of fee estimates for requests for proposals (RFPs), budget revisions, and contract amendments.
  • Provides financial input for response to requests for information (RFIs), ensuring coordination of all information with relevant Medpace personnel.
  • Responsible for assuring that bids meet customer expectations and specific requirements.
  • Have thorough knowledge of Medpace bid process.
  • Review proposal text assumptions to ensure consistency with fee estimates.
  • Communicates with Medpace customers regarding ongoing projects to ensure expectations are met.
  • Maintain and track ongoing project performance against budget, notifying clients of potential issues or changes.
  • Review invoices and other financial reports prior to Sponsor receipt.
  • Generate and initiate processing of new contracts, monitoring changes in scope and milestone invoicing.
  • Maintain and modify company bid preparation template and boilerplate text to meet changing client needs.
  • May be responsible for other projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business or Accounting.
  • 3+ years of experience in clinical research and/or contract management/pricing.
  • Strong working knowledge of financial and accounting processes.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and drug development services desired.
  • Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a clinical contract research organization (CRO).
  • Familiarity with oncology, cardiology, metabolic disease, endocrinology, central nervous system, anti-viral and anti-infective areas.
