About the position

The Senior Finance Analyst in Corporate FP&A at Corning is responsible for supporting the financial reporting and analytical processes that articulate business operational results and projections to senior management. This role involves preparing presentations for Board of Directors meetings, driving process improvements in FP&A rhythms, and providing ad-hoc financial analysis to support business management. The analyst will leverage financial applications to deliver accurate reporting and analysis, ensuring timely and precise information is available for decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements and analysis for senior management meetings, including Board of Directors and other senior management events.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis related to capital projects and business scenarios as required.
  • Develop division presentations for Quarterly Business Reviews and other management reviews in collaboration with Division Controllers and Directors.
  • Support business Finance teams in preparing and submitting the Black Book, Green Book, and unit forecasts to Corporate.
  • Engage in all aspects of FP&A deliverables for new system implementations and become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Khalix Corporate FP&A processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience working on cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems.
  • Working knowledge of financial systems such as PeopleSoft, Khalix, and SAP.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and/or Project.
  • Ability to perform PeopleSoft queries to troubleshoot period closing inquiries.
  • Working knowledge of general accounting and local accounting and regulatory policies.
  • Ability to coordinate closing processes and report results accurately and timely.
